Abbas Batliwala was born in Udaipur in 1958. He studied at Udaipur University. His major participation included VII Trienalle, India, 1991; VI Asian Biennale, Bangladesh; Harmony Shows, Mumbai; India Month, Rotterdam and Swarnrekha Exhibition, New Delhi & Yugosalavia. He has been to many camps including Harmony, Udaipur and WZCC, Arunanchal Pradesh. He has been awarded the Gold Medal Drawing & Painting, VII Trienalle, India and Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi among many others. He works and lives in Udaipur
