K. S. Kulkarni studied at JJ School of Art, Bombay, 1935-42 and highly impressed by the though process of Picasso. He was a visiting Professor, Delhi Polytechnic, 1945-50, 52-61; Dean, Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, BHU, Benaras,1972-78. Bronze Medal, International Exhibition, London, 1947. Represented India, International Arts Program sponsored by State Department and J.D.R. 3rd Foundation, U.S.A; International Art Exhibition, London, 1949; Arthur Newton Gallery, New York, 1951. One-man shows - Franz Bader Gallery, Washington, Watumal Foundation, Honolulu, Dunbar Gallery, New York, World House Gallery, New York, Mordern Art Centre, Zurich, 1958-59; International Exhibitions, Japan and Sao Paulo Biennale, 1959; Gallery Mayer, New York, 1960; Hathorne Art Gallery, New York, 1970. 56, 59, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 72 (Retrospective); and several others.
