Preeti Raja

"There is no other medium, which is so suited to her task as watercolor."

Thus the artist’s subconscious reaches out to the various continents. In the sense India lives within her, so does Africa, so does Americas, and so does the rest of the world. The wonderful truth of her inner being has demolished the chamber of her inner consciousness giving it a liberated and thereby a universal melody, to project in art such inner states of the truth of her being required to take choice of a suitable medium. There is no other medium, which is so suited to her task as watercolor. In cultivated hands spurred by in-depth moves of the imagination, the medium can capture soulfully the inner weather conditions of sensitive human reactions, transient, fleeting, captivating as heart warmingly as that of the outer atmosphere. With Preeti the direction of the brush stroke itself along with the alignment of colours is sufficient to lay bare the inner nucleus of an event. The significant thing to note is the choice of colours.
